Dear Syd,

Well I got off the bike, however I would say I was pushed off the bike by the bike owner...which isn't the same as wanting to choose not to ride...but due to your advice, I am looking forward to doing some 'solo' riding for a while before putting the money out there and investing in a long time ride...

thanks syd.

Dear Lewis

Thanks for being the first to offer up your dilemma up for discussion on the 'Dear Syd' page.

Well firstly I would like to say, cycling is a pleasurable experience. If you cycle often on a good track that you like it can be quite exhilarating and fulfill various needs. However if you keep cycling on a path that doesn't seem to challenge you and stimulate you then you can feel a little bored and unhappy. Also a big mistake I see humans make is that when they are going cycling on a track that they think is kinda mediocre then they only hope that the track will change improve upon them with time. But really most of the time there is nothing you can do to change the track...

My personal advice is that you should try to make a committed decision to yourself to hold out for the right track and in the interim practice riding by yourself.... enjoy riding by yourself..... you never know.... it could be good fun!

lotsa solosexual love

Dear Syd,

I've starting seeing someone, really, really casually. At first I thought it would be great. First time, sex on tap...no commitments. However, I can't shake the feeling like I am missing out on something...should I get off the bike and wait around for a really good ride...one that has more meaning?
